What the characters know:

• Devon Tech Industries (DTI) has reached out to you wondering if you want to join in the trial.
• DTI will fly you to their lab, free of cost. You will be provided with suite-level amenities for the duration of the trail.
• The trial could last anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months depending on you.(I.e. Body type, personality, vitals, etc)
• They are offering a sum of 10,000 American dollars, tax-free, to the people who complete the trial regardless of time spent at the lab.
• Upon arrival you will be put under and given the implant that will allow you to lucid dream as well as let DTI record and watch your dreams.
• You will be required to spend at least half of the time at the lab asleep, under their watchful eye.
• You will not be allowed to drink alcohol, smoke, vape, consume tobacco or drugs, for the duration of the trial and for a week before you are taken to the lab. (I.e. Only drugs prescribed by your primary care doctor will be allowed)
• Participating in sexual activities with anyone, trail volunteer, lab tech, or scientist, is strictly forbidden.
• Strict diets will be upheld for the duration of the trail.
• You will not be allowed to leave the compound for the duration of the trail.
• Communication with the outside world will be strictly monitored. Any mention of trade secrets, trail details, or anything regarding the trial will result in your immediate dismissal and could result in fines, lawsuits and possible jail time.
• Failure to follow these rules will also result in the immediate completion of your contract and will result in you receiving only a percentage of the offered amount.

What the players know that the characters do not:

• Things at DTI are not what they seem.
• Your characters are being watched closer than they think.
• Dr Soren Diasaclly is alive and was forced to help create DTI’s implant.
• DTI is actually using the implant to hijack and control the brain. (Mind control)
• Your characters will slowly begin to realize something is off, but not immediately.

The Science:

• The implant named the IDR (Immersive Dream Reality) is placed directly on the hippocampus of the brain.
• The lucid dreams are named IDR-ID (Immersive Dream Reality - Induced Dream) on characters files.
• The IDR implants are controlled and watched in a single room that is heavily guarded and impossible to get into without a key.

Host Rules:

• BE KIND: We are all human. We mess up. There is no reason to be rude to anyone.
• ASK QUESTIONS. I’m more than willing to ask any questions you may have through the duration of the game. Ask in the commentary, the discussion tab or just DM me. I don’t mind at all!
• NO SWEARING. Three strikes; you’re out. First two will result in a warning and a request for revisions. Third will result in me handing off your character.
• The game will be spent both awake and asleep. PAY attention to challenge cards as they will often hold that information.
• Answers will be given to characters through challenge outcomes. For this game WEAK outcomes do NOT mean BAD, just different.
• Third Person; Past tense is what we will be using. Feel free to include your characters thoughts though.
• Move Fast, Move often. The speed is hardcore for a reason.

Your characters:

• MUST be above the country’s legal age.
• Can be any race, gender, etc.
• MUST be able to speak english as our game is taking place in the Sierra Nevada’s. The Doctors, scientists and any technician your character comes into contact with will be speaking english.
• Bio’s MUST include: Age, Sex at birth, Sex now, Country of origin, birth language, why you signed up for the trial, a description of what your character is like and a description of their past.

I will be leaving Storium in a few months time for about a year and a half, so the game might have to be handed off or suspended till I return.

You’re characters must adhere to the rules listed above. Remember you’re characters don’t know that they have become the newest victim to the mind control simulation. They will probably learn quickly seeing as our current characters know parts of it. However characters will not interact until after implants have been given.
